VaP (Vivian and Phyllis) Vibes
Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of
July! For me – this is the start of
summer. The heat is on….in more ways
than one. Now is the time to get the old
projects finished and start thinking Back-to-School, Football, fall,
Thanksgiving and Christmas! I am
already looking for little ‘brothers outfits” since I have two grandsons this
year.
Lace Cottage is still in swing of our summer sale and the
beginning of our “Kids Camps”. We have
two different sessions this year. And
for those of you who have not come by – we are having our Summer Sew-Ins on
July 14th and July 28 (both Friday nights) from 6-10pm. We have had
good attendance so far and I have finished two projects!
Still keep Susan in your prayers as she battles the
upcoming treatments. Thanks for all you
do Susan!
Remember to bring your salad Tuesday!
See you then!

Wee
Care Gowns Workday– 4th Tuesday of Each Month from January – October
Mark your
calendar! Our next Wee Care Workday (9:30 – 2:00) will be
July 25, 2017 at Lord of Life Lutheran
Church (Poplar Pike).
Please make
plans to come for all or part of the day -
it would be a great help. We need folks to bring sewing machines to sew the outfits that have been pinned. Many
kudos to those working at our last workday –
Amy Johnson, Connie Scott, Regina Sanford, Glynda Whitlow, DiAnne
Drennan, Sara Schwab, Laurel Adamsen, Jane Soffos and Jane Gross.
We celebrated Regina's birthday.
Jane Soffos provided cupcakes and gelato. This was Connie's last time
because she is moving to the D.C. area. with her husband’s transfer. Their
children are in the DC area. It is exciting that they sold their home in 2
days. Thank you Connie for your dedication to the Wee Care workdays
and the many gowns you have smocked!
Show and Share:
From Amy – sweet picture smocking for the
summer!
From Susan – Many thanks for
your prayers and encouraging thoughts during our journey. Please join us on CaringBridge.org
to follow our progress. God is leading every step of the way!
I have shared our Wee Care efforts
with folks I have met during my treatments, and can see that we really make a
difference in the lives of families!
