Our monthly meeting will
be Tuesday, September 12 at 6:00 pm (note earlier time) at Kit Hadskey’s home
and she is sharing a light supper. Her address is 2884 Fosterdale Cove in
Germantown. She is also excited to show us her remodeled sewing space! All are welcome! Please
join us! Bring a friend!
Kit lives about 5
minutes from Germantown UMC, so some might want to carpool to her home from the
church.
Please bring any Wee Care gowns – finished or unfinished –
to our meeting, or drop them off at Lace Cottage. Thanks!
Thoughts from Phyllis
Happy Fall everyone!
Now that school is officially back for everyone – I must say- I love
routine. I say that even though I am on vacation this week in Florida. We are in Destin and the weather is
beautiful. (Calm before the storm as
they say.) The grandchildren are out of
their routines and are having a great time but they are worn out at the end of
each day.
While I have been here I have gone to T.J.’s Fabrics
which is a fabric store. They have quite
a few children’s prints, patterns, applique and so many cute ideas! The ladies were very helpful. I have some new
ideas to bring back to Lace Cottage.
One of our newest projects at Lace Cottage will be held
Friday (9/8) night – making pillowcases for the hurricane victims of
Texas. We will be working on those at
our Sew-In Friday night from 6-9pm.
Please join us if you would like.
We have a church we are sending them to in order to distribute them. If you can’t make it Friday night, please
come by the shop and pick up a couple to make at your home- return them to the
shop and we will make sure they get to the church.
Susan, we are keeping you and your family in our prayers
as well. You are an inspiration to us
for your strength through this.
I can’t wait to get to see Kittie’s newly finished sewing
room on Tuesday!
See you then!
