Dear Friends,
Well here we are at the end of our year! So
hard to believe! I know how busy it has been for me and I'm sure it has been
for you as well! I managed to survive a wedding, the re-opening of Lace
Cottage, and the most emotional trip of my sweet niece Elizabeth that many of
you traveled right along with me. I am glad to report that as of today, her
important numbers are going up!!! First great news we've had in a long and
arduous journey. She is still suffering significant side effects from the
radiation, but so encouraged from the Bone marrow transplant numbers thus far,
that I think she will withstand anything at this point. It never ceases to
amaze me how she still never complains about her situation, but only strives to
get better to be with her baby. He is doing amazing and now weighs in at a
whopping 10 lbs. at 3 mos. Your thoughts and prayers were deeply appreciated by
me and my family and every single one of them were passed on by me. Looking
back at all she has been through, which has been so much with shock to despair
to maybe hope again, sort of puts things in perspective for our own lives.
It
does tend to make me want to slow down some and enjoy my friends like you and
all that you bring into my life as sewing and just good friends!!! The sewing information
we glean from each other is invaluable and the camaraderie is even more
precious! That special connection should never be lost no matter how busy we
get, as we never know when we might really need to count on each other. I am
wishing you all PEACE and JOY throughout this holiday season and into
2016.
Your Friend Always,
Kittie
