VaP (Vivian and Phyllis) Vibes

Whew!  Made it through Easter! Now we are getting ready for graduations and weddings at Lace Cottage.  We are also working on our summer schedule which will include another Kids’ Camp!

Our meeting at the Smocking Guild went very well with the Wee Care Gowns!  I think we received another order for more – so please, if you are up to it- take some gowns next week.

I know we are working at the Germantown Library event again this year.  We are looking for other activities or outings to schedule just for us to spend time together.  If you have any ideas, please let me know.

And yes…..I am bringing the gift this month, since I was delinquent last month!

See you Tuesday.

Wee Care Gowns Workday– 4th Tuesday of Each Month from January – October

There will be no May Wee Care Workday – lots of travel/vacation by many in the group. Mark your calendar for our next Wee Care Workday will be the 4th Tuesday in June – June 27.

Many kudos to those working at our Wee Care Workday workday in April –  Amy Johnson, Regina Sanford, Jane Gross, Glynda Whitlow, Jane Soffos, Sarah Schwab, Susan Batson, and Laurel Adamsen. Diane Drennen stopped by for encouragement. It’s great to see her up again!

Program:

We will be concentrating on step-by-step smocking and completing Wee Care gowns. You only need to bring sewing scissors. We will be completing our Wee Care gowns that we started last month. Many hands will see lots of love in new Wee Care gowns!

5th Annual How-To Festival
Germantown Community Library

Check out the website! www.howtofestival.com

Planning has begun for the 2017 How-To Festival. As an alumni presenter, we have been extended a special early invitation for the 2017 event. Just like last year, we’ll be helping people to learn new skills in a friendly, free, hands-on environment.

The community will be invited to the library to rotate between tables and decide what they would like to learn. To enhance the learner's experience, we are encouraged to make our presentation as hands-on as possible.
