Thoughts
from Phyllis
It is finally
FALL!! The trees are beautiful! I could do without the cold, wet weather we
have been experiencing but love the sunny days.
I am thankful for this time of year, for the calm before the holiday
hustle (some of you may already have your Christmas shopping done – but not meJ). I enjoy planning for Thanksgiving
dinner and not having to worry about any gifts.
This is the
best time of the year for college football Saturdays! As I watch football, I am working on my
grandsons outfits for the holidays. Then
I will have to get in gear for multiple trips to see Santa with the boys. In the meantime, I am gathering recipes for
Thanksgiving and have made several trips to Sur la Table – what a fun store! I
have Thanksgiving at my house for 25-30 people and look forward to our old
family recipes as well as some of the new dishes we try each year.
I must
reflect on all of my blessings as well, counting each of you among them. I hope that each of you has a very happy and
healthy Thanksgiving. God bless.
See you
Tuesday!

Wee
Care Gowns Workday– 4th Tuesday of Each Month from January – October.
Mark your calendar
for our next Wee Care Workday will be the 4th
Tuesday in January – January 23, 2018 at
Lord of Life Lutheran Church (Poplar Pike). Please make plans to
come for all or part of the day -
it would be a great help. We need folks to bring sewing machines to sew the outfits that have been pinned.
This
will be our first Wee Care workday of
2018, so it would be great to have extra hands to help assemble these
precious outfits!
